World of WordPress

WordPress is a free content management system (CMS) is being used to design, develop and maintain websites and web apps. It provides ease to use unique blogging features along with lots of SEO plugins to fix the position in top priority. WordPress gives a web-based user interface for designing, developing, deploying and updating websites and web apps. There is no need to create tags in HTML, you can simply choose one of many different website templates or "themes" that has a design you like. You can then modify the layout and build a custom Menu. Once the site layout is complete, you have the right to add and delete pages in WordPress. Each page can contain Images, text, audio, video and graphics and other media. 

Note: -You can deploy your website/ web app in local host as well as at remote side. 

Procedure of Web Development and deployment in WordPress Perquisite Requirements: -

1:- Xampp: - XAMPP is a free and open source cross-platform web server solution stack package and it must be installed in your computer.

2: - Netbeans: - Integrated Development Environment (if you desire)

Step: - 1 firstly, you will have to download the latest version WordPress form its official website https://wordpress.org/download/

Step: - 2 now, explore the destination where the setup of WordPress in zip format is available and extract it.

Step: - 3 the time has come to open the WordPress folder and copy all contents including all files a folders

Step: - 4 if you want to install and execute the WordPress set up successfully then without any delay follow the following path strictly

C drive Xampp folder htdocs create one folder in it paste all the contents which have been copied form the WordPress folder into it

Explanation: - you will have to maintain all the files and folders of WordPress into htdocs folder which is lying in Xampp folder and it’s placed in C drive.

Note: - Xampp must be installed in your computer if you having desire to install the WordPress for the web development

After successfully installation of Xampp, you will have various modules as you can see in picture.

You will have to start first two modules namely: -

Apache: -this is a server lying in Xampp provided ambience to run the server side programming

MySQL: - MySQL is an open-source relational database management system 

Let’s have a look through pictorial form.

Note: - I designed a folder named firstsite where I pasted all contents of downloaded WordPress.

Step: - 5 get ready to install the WordPress in your computer. For this kindly follow the following step carefully

Open your web browser and type localhost\name of the folder where you have copied WordPress contents in URL and press enter

      Example: - localhost\my_php_project

After pressing the enter button, you will get a web page for the installation of WordPress in your browser

Step: - 6 just will just click continue button after selecting the desire language.

Step: - 7 this is the most crucial step which will have to face during installation. Here you will have to take precautionary measurements before filling the data into textboxes. Read all instructions carefully before leaving the page.

Step: - 8 in this step, you will have to enter the credentials for the purpose of installation and synchronization with Xampp.

8.1  Before entering the name of database, you will have to design a database in MySQL in Xampp.

8.1.1 Steps to create database in MySQL

8.1.2 Explore the browser and type 127.0.0.0 or local host and press enter

8.1.3 You will get the dashboard of Xampp to proceed next

8.1.4 Press the phpMyAdmin option to enter into server where you can create database through GUI format

You will see the databases tab in the menu and without wastage of time hit it.

There is an option to create a database. You will just enter the name of database which you want to design and hit create button. In a few seconds database will be created automatically.

8.2 You will have to enter the credentials for the further proceedings

8.2.1 Database: - name of database (site) created in phpMyAdmin

8.2.2 Username: - root is the name of the user (by default)

8.2.3 Password: - password is empty by default

8.2.4 Table_prefix: - wp_site (specify the name of database here) and submit

Step: - 9 installation process will be started and wp-config.php will created automatically in htdocs folder to maintain the configuration of the WordPress

Note: - if you are facing any problem during the installation then I am having one more way to install it successfully

9.1 open your folder in htdocs where you copied your WordPress files

9.2 search wp-config-sample.php and edit it as I have done in the below mentioned picture and save it with a new name that is wp-config.php and now you can go ahead

9.3. During the installation you can set username and password of WordPress

Step: - 10 after the installation, you just enter username and password in wp-login.php page and will get the dashboard along with lots of functionalities to design and develop website and web apps
